The will see another upgrade soon as funds are being donated by the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund for engraving additional names. The grant request was made by the Toledo Rotary Club; it was awarded $2,500 for the project. Rotarians and others have been working on the memorial for some time. In November 2012, members of Toledo Rotary and the Central Oregon Coast Veterans Association (COCVA) turned out on a wet morning for a major to show off the installation of four flagpoles by raising service flags and a POW/MIA flag that were proudly displayed at the Main Street location for the first time. Bob Deming, Toledo Rotary President, said the group is working toward rigging lighting in the area and arranging up a caretaker schedule so the flags can be flown full time.
